Cursor

Cursor ships the app. You operate it in Basevolt.

Connect Cursor to Basevolt over MCP and let it configure the panel: field types, links between tables, and the views that match what you actually do all day.

Cursor gets you to a working app fast. The part it does not do for you is the boring operating surface afterwards — the screens where you approve a refund, chase a stuck order, or publish a draft. Basevolt gives you that surface, configurable by the same agent that wrote the code.

Let the agent do the clicking

Instead of configuring dozens of fields by hand, describe what you want in Cursor and let it set field types, relations, and views through MCP.

Works across your projects

One Cursor window, one Basevolt window. A Postgres app here, a SQLite prototype there, a D1 worker somewhere else — all reachable without switching clients.

Views that match the work

Grid for editing, kanban for anything with a status, gallery for anything with an image, dashboards for what broke.

Local-first by default

No account, no cloud sync, no per-seat licence for letting a teammate look at the data. The panel runs on your machine.

Setting it up

  1. 1

Install Basevolt and connect the project database.

  2. 2

Enable the MCP server in Basevolt settings.

  3. 3

Register it in Cursor, then ask Cursor to configure views and relations.

Cursor is a third-party product and is not affiliated with Basevolt. MCP support is part of every plan, including the free Hobby plan.
